Welcome to Not Soo Breaking News ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Not Soo Breaking News mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, subscribing to our Service, or using any features of Not Soo Breaking News, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 12 years old to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service and subscribe to paid plans.

4. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

5. 90-Day Free Trial

All new users receive a 90-day free trial with full access to all features:

• The trial begins when you create your account
• You have complete access to all news articles, Deep Dive, and Fact Check features
• No credit card is required for the trial
• After 90 days, your access will be limited to 25% of daily articles unless you subscribe
• You can subscribe to a paid plan at any time during or after the trial
• The free trial is limited to one per user/device

6. Subscription Plans and Billing

6.1 Available Plans

We offer three subscription tiers:

• Lite Plan: ₹29/month or ₹290/year - Full news access, 1 Deep Dive & 1 Fact Check per month
• Basic Plan: ₹99/month or ₹999/year - Full news access, 10 Deep Dives & 5 Fact Checks per month
• Pro Plan: ₹199/month or ₹1,999/year - Full news access, 20 Deep Dives & 10 Fact Checks per month

Annual plans offer approximately 17% savings compared to monthly billing.

6.2 Billing and Payment

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store (for iOS) or our payment processor (for web)
• Billing occurs at the beginning of each subscription period
• All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated
• Payment is due immediately upon subscription
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

6.3 Auto-Renewal

All subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You will be charged for renewal unless you cancel.

6.4 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• For iOS: Cancel through Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → Not Soo Breaking News
• For Web: Contact support@kvalabs.com
• Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your paid period
• No refunds for partial months or unused portions of the subscription

6.5 Refund Policy

All sales are final. However, we may issue refunds at our sole discretion in the following cases:

• Technical issues that prevented you from using the Service
• Duplicate charges or billing errors
• Within 7 days of purchase if you're dissatisfied (first-time subscribers only)

For iOS purchases, refund requests must be made through Apple's App Store. Contact Apple Support for assistance with App Store refunds.

6.6 Upgrade and Downgrade

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle. When upgrading mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the period.

7. Service Features and Usage Limits

7.1 News Articles

Free users (post-trial) have access to approximately 25% of daily articles. Subscribers have full access to all articles.

7.2 Deep Dive

Deep Dive allows you to chat with our AI bot to explore articles in depth. Usage is limited based on your subscription tier and resets monthly.

7.3 Fact Check

Fact Check is an AI-powered tool for verifying claims. Usage is limited based on your subscription tier and resets monthly. Results are AI-generated and should be used as guidance, not absolute truth.

7.4 Wellness Features

Daily motivational quotes, humor, poetry, and games (Sudoku, Snake) are available to all users, including free users.

8. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
• Abuse the Fact Check or Deep Dive features for spam or malicious purposes
• Redistribute, republish, or resell content from the Service
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Not Soo Breaking News or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

News articles are sourced from various publishers and are displayed with proper attribution. We do not claim ownership of third-party content.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission.

10. Content Disclaimer

Not Soo Breaking News curates news from various sources and uses AI to summarize and analyze content. Please note:

• Articles are selected by AI algorithms and may not be 100% accurate
• Deep Dive and Fact Check features use AI and may contain errors
• We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of third-party content
• News summaries are AI-generated and may lack nuance
• Users should verify critical information from original sources

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• That the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• That defects will be corrected
• That the Service or servers are free of viruses or harmful components
• The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NOT SOO BREAKING NEWS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content
• Any errors or omissions in content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is less.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Not Soo Breaking News regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.
